SOUTH ORANGE, NJ —Join the South Orange Public Library, 65 Scotland Road, for an eclipse viewing party on Monday, Aug. 21, from 1 to 4 p.m. Viewing beings at 1:21 p.m., peaks at 2:44 p.m. and ends at 4:01 p.m. According to scientists, 73 percent of the eclipse will be visible in South Orange.
Do not look directly into the sun without specially made glasses or a viewing box — you can find instructions for making one online. The library will have a limited number of glasses to hand out.
