SOUTH ORANGE, NJ — The Pop Ups had young children and their families clapping, singing and dancing with delight at their show on May 15 at Temple Sharey Tefilo-Israel in South Orange. Brooklyn musicians Jason Rabinowitz and Jacob Stein, who have been nominated twice for Grammy Awards, brought along their handpainted sets, cardboard props and puppets to entertain the youngsters with their special brand of musical maelstrom. Proceeds from the lively show will benefit the STEAM — science, technology, engineering, art and math — Room at TSTI’s Iris Family Center for Early Childhood Education.
