MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Today, Dec. 2, at approximately 8:15 a.m., a student of Seth Boyden School reported that a male had attempted to take his backpack while he was walking to school on Jacoby Street, according to a release from the Maplewood Police Department. The police were contacted and responded. Officers arrested Jordan Jones, 22, of Irvington for the incident. After investigation, Jones was taken into custody and charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
